Articulate Storyline
England, France, Belgium
I collaborated with a content developer to visit European landmarks via 360° images. I wrote the descriptions for each historical site and experimented with interactive hotspots to encourage learners to explore their surroundings.
- Delve into the history of Christ Church’s campus in Oxford.
- Admire the stunning architecture of Sainte-Chapelle cathedral in Paris.
- Immerse yourself in the vibrant Christmas market scene of the Grand-Place in Brussels.
Human Resource Recruiting
This course is designed to facilitate active listening skills among human resource recruiters seeking to attract top talent. Interview best practices are illustrated with scenario-based learning to reinforce skills learned.
The interview scenario was created with AI generated voices from ElevenLabs.
E-Learning Heroes Challenge
Inspired by Articulate’s E-Learning Heroes Challenge, I decided to create an escape room.
Salzburg, Austria is my favorite European city and the setting for this travel adventure. The learner explores an Airbnb chalet to unlock a safe to retrieve Leah’s valuables just in time for her Christmas flight home.

A proposal justifying funding for an on-campus makerspace housed within Carisbrooke University’s library. While the university is fictional, the makerspace concept is gaining momentum among leading universities. In addition to being a creative outlet for students, they also have the opportunity to gain soft skills such as teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving.
The proposal is guided by three goals:
- Blur the distinction between work & play
- Equip students with a technologically rich environment
- Connect with the community

Reflections on Virtual Teaching
As a grad assistant, I contributed 2 modules on Multimedia Design Principles and Universal Design for a self-paced course:
“Reflections on Virtual Teaching.”
Audience
This course was designed for K-12 virtual educators in Anderson and Upstate, SC school districts. Teachers earn 10 credit hours and a certificate upon successful completion of the course.
Purpose
The Covid-19 pandemic has been a catalyst for online learning. Virtual teachers have been navigating this “new normal,” and discovering new tools, technology, and strategies to implement. Some things have worked – and others, not so much.
This course intends to impart online best practices for virtual instruction. It also adopts a reflective mindset as the assignments encourage educators to reflect on the challenges and benefits of online teaching.

Italian Study Abroad
Thousands of college students apply to study abroad programs to satiate their inner wanderlust. However, many are unprepared to successfully navigate the roller coaster ride of emotions that accompany international travel. This skills gap resulted in a pre-departure course: “Study Abroad Italy 101.”
Audience
While learning the features of Canvas, I created a 4-week online course for undergraduate students studying abroad in either Rome or Sorrento, Italy.
Concepts include developing cultural awareness, overcoming culture shock, understanding American and Italian stereotypes, and learning beginner-friendly Italian conversational skills.
Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a custom digital badge and confidence to enjoy the joys and challenges of immersing themselves in a new culture.
Purpose
The purpose of this pre-departure orientation course is to prepare students for the potential cultural challenges to be anticipated once they arrive in Italy. This course seeks to improve student confidence, competence, and intercultural communication to interact with individuals representing a multicultural background.

This project discusses a collaborative effort to fight breast cancer.
Involving a community health clinic and a Girl Scout troop, this program planning proposal seeks to increase community awareness of breast cancer and contribute to a service-learning project for breast cancer survivors in the Edisto Island, SC community.
Instructional objectives, learning activities, sample evaluations, and a budget statement are provided to implement this project with ease.
My portfolio projects challenged me to create training for organizations with me acting as an instructional designer and program planner. This resulted in the creation of fictional institutions including Carisbrooke University and the Edisto Community Medical Clinic. References to my role with other organizations, such as the Blood Connection and names mentioned in design documents are also purely fictional for portfolio purposes.
